We made our reservations on line without any problem. Upon arriving and checking in, it was noticed the room smelled a bit smokey. The staff was helpful in finding us a different room. The stay was comfortable, safe, and reasonable.

We enjoyed our stay at Wingate. We've been there before, and always had a positive experience. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms spacious and clean. The only negative I can think of is that the pool is rather small, but other than that, it's a really good place to stay. The breakfast was above average with many choices. I would definitely recommend the Wingate and will stay there again.

We have to visit a family member each month to care for them, so we need a hotel for one or two nights every month in the Oshkosh/Neenah/Appleton area. Because our trip and visit is stressful, we prefer suites-type accomodations to help us unwind. Searching for rates for this weekend, I ran across Wingate/Wyndham and joined their Wyndham Rewards program to get special offers, and made a reservation for a 2-night stay. (This was two weekends before the EAA airshow, and prices everywhere were elevated, but the Wingate had recently dropped their rates a bit.) Wow, the Wingate in Appleton is a WONDERFUL place! Upon arrival, we had the smoothest and fastest greeting and checkin ever. We were given options of 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor (took 1st). Our room was easy to reach. It was absolutely spotless and had the requisite microwave and mini-fridge. Square-foot wise it was smaller than some suite rooms at LQ and others, but the ceilings were high and gave it a much larger feel. Rooms were quiet, Wi-Fi signal was strong but a bit slow (there was also a wired connection I did not test). Breakfast was GREAT. Small pool but nice; the fitness center looked like it'd serve most folks' needs. All in all, the Wingate is one of our two favorites in the area...and if we find a deal there we absolutely WILL return.

This was the second or third time I've stayed at this hotel and would definitely stay again. It's very close to the Fox River Mall and restaurants, offers the government rate, and is comfortable and quiet.

It was a last minute need, and everything really was perfect. It was the cleanest hotel room I have ever stayed. Parking was easy, check-in was efficient, price was excellent, the room was well stocked and beautiful. The only trouble was it was either too cold or too hot...could have been operator error. Otherwise, a beatiful place to stay, and I would and have recommended it to my friends/family, especially out-of-towners.
